New Murals Planned for Exterior of Austin's Bar-B-Que

The City Council approved a Meritorious Exception for Austin's Bar-B-Que at its September 10 meeting to allow for the installation of three murals on the east and west facades of their restaurant, located at the northwest corner of Addison Road and Keller Spring Road. The murals will cover a total area of 285 square feet (Sign A: 9 ft x 18 ft, Sign B: 3.75 ft x 12 ft, and Sign C: 6.85 ft x 11.33 ft). The artwork is non-commercial, featuring Texas-themed imagery such as a Texas longhorn. The murals will be visible from both Addison Road and Keller Spring Road.
