Sam's Club and Adjacent Properties
In 2014, the City Council initiated the first Special Area Study in accordance with the 2013 Comprehensive Plan. The 50-acre area Study Area chose generally consists of the former 17.34-acre Sam’s Club site, which is identified as Parcel 3-D in the Town’s Comprehensive Plan land use analysis, and 11 properties along the Midway Corridor, including the Midway Square Shopping Center and Office in the Park. The consulting team established a preferred development concept based on background research, market analysis, and public input.
