Unified Development Code (UDC) Review
Addison has completed a comprehensive review and update of the Town’s development regulations. Many of the Town’s rules for development were crafted in the 1980s and were not keeping up with current development trends, shifting demographics, and evolving consumer preferences, or future community needs. To accomplish this review, the Town collaborated with consulting firm, Clarion Associates. Clarion has completed a full consolidated draft of the new Unified Development Code (UDC), and City Council adopted the UDC on March 25, 2025. The effective date of the UDC is September 1, 2025.

July 15, 2025 - Planning & Zoning Commission (P&Z) recommended adoption of the new UDC zoning map to City Council
