Commercial
Are you a business owner and want to set up a sign for your establishment? Learn some of the most common code violations. The Town of Addison Sign Ordinance can provide additional details. In order to obtain a Sign Permit the business/tenant must already have a Certificate of Occupancy application filed with the Town.
Residential
All residential properties may display one detached, non-illuminated sign to advertise a garage sale on the premises or refer to the sale or lease of the premises. Such signs cannot exceed three square feet. View the most common residential code violations.
Applying for a Sign Permit
Apply for a sign permit. Sign Contractors and Electrical Contractors are required to be registered prior to submittal of an application. Please be sure to create your account if you do not have an existing account.
Sign Inspections
After obtaining a Sign Permit, staff responsible for review will contact the applicant to schedule the necessary inspections. Final inspections will be scheduled accordingly.
