Email the permit application and digital plan set to permits@addisontx.gov.

The permit application and supplemental documents can be found under Forms and Applications.

Available CSS Online Submittals:

  • Single Trade permits with no review required.

Example: Water Heater Replacement, HVAC replacement, Electrical Service Upgrade etc.

  • Certificate of Occupancy Applications
  • Sign Permits

 

Not available Online:

  • Commercial or Residential permits requiring plans examiner review.

Example: New Build, Tenant Finish Out, Residential Remodel, Roof, Fence, Solar Panel Installation, Generator Installation

Site plan review applications can be submitted online via theCSS Portal.

 

How do I find the ownership information of a parcel?

Ownership information is available via the Dallas Central Appraisal District (DCAD).

 

How do I find the zoning of a parcel

See the online interactivezoning map. Blue and green dots on the map indicate a zoning change, the ordinance should be linked if you click the dots.

How do I schedule an inspection?

Inspections must be scheduled through theCSS Portal. Inspections requested prior to 7:00 am via theCSS Portalwill be performed that business day. Inspections requested via the inspection request line (972-450-2885) prior to 3:00 pm will be performed the next business day.

 

How do I validate under a general contractor's permit (as a subcontractor)?

Subcontractor validations are submitted by clicking here and submitting the completed application via email to permits@addisontx.gov

Note: There is a $50 administrative fee that applies to add each trade after permit issuance.

To obtain a copy of project documents, please submit anopen records request.

 

I cannot see my permit on the portal. Why?

Make sure you have registered your email on the CSS Portal prior to submitting your application. If you did not register your email, do so by clickinghere. Once you have registered, emailregistrations@addisontx.govto be added as an authorized user for your permit. Please provide the CSS registered email and the permit number.

 

What information do I need to provide for a Zoning Verification Letter?

  • On the request letter, please provide:
  • Company Name (Letterhead is acceptable)
  • Contact Information (address, phone number)
  • Subject Property Address
  • Subject Parcel Number
  • Zoning letter details

What is the fee for a Zoning Verification Letter?

The fee for a zoning verification letter is $50.00 per parcel. You will need to request one letter for each parcel. Zoning Verifications requests are submitted via theCSS Portal.

 

What is the timeline for a Zoning letter?

Once payment is received the letter will be emailed within 10 business days.
